Boards and Commissions

City Meeting

The City has several opportunities for residents to participate on 10 boards, commissions, committees and/or authorities. Many community members provide input on the board’s focus area, influence City operations, and even provide recommendations to City Council.

The City of Centennial recruits for openings on boards/commissions during January and February each year. You are welcome to pre-apply for any board or commission below at the apply online button. The City Clerk’s Office will keep your application on file and contact you during the recruitment period next year.

Audit Committee

Are you an auditor who is interested in helping your community? The Audit Committee reviews the findings of the auditors and presents the annual or other audit reports to the City Council.

Budget Committee

Are you a financial professional that would like to help the City? The Budget Committee is responsible for studying all phases of the City budget.

Election Commission

Are you a Centennial citizen who would like to assist in the election process? The Election Commission is responsible for ensuring the election process is conducted in a fair, open and efficient manner.

Fiber Commission

Interested in the City’s fiber backbone? This Commission provides policy direction, management and day-to-day oversight of the FiberWorks program.

Futures Committee

Are you interested in the future of Centennial? The Futures Committee invites City leaders to consider what Centennial might face in the future so we may intentionally create policies that build the future our community desires.

Investment Committee

Are you a Centennial resident with a background in accounting, banking or knowledgeable about investment? The Investment Committee is responsible for ensuring the City funds are invested properly.

Open Space Advisory Board

Are you passionate about parks and open spaces? The Open Space Advisory Board helps to set priorities for the use of open space funds.

Planning and Zoning Commission

Are you a Centennial resident interested in community planning, zoning and development? The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews applications for rezoning and development and makes recommendations to the City Council.

Senior Commission

This Commission is an advisory board to City Council on matters affecting the aging population and serves as a forum for the expression of ideas and goals related to community issues, particularly as they may affect older adults.

Youth Commission

Are you a Centennial youth ranging in age from 13 to 18? Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? The Youth Commission is an advisory board to City Council on matters affecting youth.
