Program Rules
This program is available to Centennial residents between April 15 and November 15.
The City is responsible for approving the application and the yard signs that will be deployed with the application.
Yard signs available under this program are limited. Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis.
The period of each deployment of yard signs will be set by the City but will not last more than 10 days.
All yard sign packages must be returned to the City within the specified three business days following conclusion of a deployment period.
The City will not accept applications for the same area of a neighborhood, for a minimum of 30 days after the last deployment period in that area.
Prior to the Yard Sign Deployment Period
- Complete an application with resident signatures authorizing yard sign placements in at least three yards.
- Applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the date requested on the application. Please note, due to limited number of yard signs, the requested date may not be available.
- The City reviews and approves applications and will set the start and end dates.
- The neighborhood champion(s) are responsible for coordinating a time to pick up the yard sign package from the City’s Public Works facility (7272 S Eagle Street).
During the Yard Sign Deployment Period
- Only one sign may be placed in each yard.
- Signs must be placed on the resident’s property at least five feet back from the property line in accordance with Centennial Land Development Code, Article 6, Division 5. This is typically at least five feet from the edge of the sidewalk (if one exists) adjacent to the property. City staff can assist with placement questions as needed.
- Signs may only be placed for the duration of the deployment period approved by the City.
- Signs may only be placed in the yards of those residents who gave permission by signing the application.
- Defaced or damaged yard signs must be removed immediately and then returned to the City with the rest of the yard sign package.
Post Yard Sign Deployment Period
- The yard sign package must be collected from resident yards and returned to the City’s Public Works facility.
- Drop off of the yard sign package must be coordinated with Public Works staff.
