Options for Missed Mid-Roof Inspections

Option 1 - Uncover a portion of the roof on separate fields/facets 10% each side and schedule a mid-roof inspection. After the mid-roof corrections have passed inspection the roof may be closed and completed. A final inspection may be scheduled after the corrections are complete.

A $55.00 Re-inspection fee may apply.

MID-ROOF INSPECTIONS AND FINAL INSPECTION CANNOT BE CONDUCTED ON THE SAME DAY.

Option 2 - Provide an Alternative Method Request along with a stamped engineer’s letter confirming the roof covering and underlayment was installed in accordance with the local adopted building codes as well as manufacturers’ specifications. Please email the alternate request and required engineer letter to the City of Centennial Building Division at buildingdivision@centennialco.gov.

Your request will be reviewed and you will be notified if your request has been approved within 2 business days. ALTERNATIVE REQUESTS ARE LIMITED TO A SPECIFIC PERMIT AND ONLY ONE PER CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION.

NOTE: Providing the engineer’s letter does not guarantee acceptance by the Chief Building Official, partial tear off may still be required.
