Overview 

The Fiber Commission provides policy direction, management and day-to-day oversight of FiberWorks, a program to implement the City’s fiber backbone. The Fiber Commission will continue efficient and cost effective planning, construction, operation and management of the City's fiber optic infrastructure. 

In 2016, City Council passed Resolution No. 2016-R-80(PDF, 120KB) establishing the City’s fiber infrastructure program known as FiberWorks and its governing body, the Fiber Commission. In 2017, the Fiber Commission passed its Bylaws(PDF, 654KB) effectively forming the rules and guidelines to provide oversight and policy direction for FiberWorks.

Members

The Fiber Commission consists of five members, which includes three City Council Members selected by fellow Council Members and two Centennial residents selected by the Commission and appointed by Council.
